Former Clerk of District Court, Gen Tuma,
Endorses Jill Kiester for Clerk.
“Her dedication to excellence, leadership skills and administrative knowledge… will be a significant benefit to the Office of the Clerk of District Court… I personally endorse Jill Kiester without any reservations whatsoever.”
Meet Jill Kiester
Jill comes from a long line of committed Natrona County public servants, including her own 33-year career working for this great county. She began in 1988 in the Clerk of District Court’s Office working in the Child Support section of the office. In 1994, she was assigned by the Clerk of Court, Sue Pate, to manage the newly established county Child Support Enforcement. Jill led and managed that office for 27 years until she was appointed to be the Clerk of District Court.
Public service has deep roots in the family. Jill’s dad, Dick Dresang, founded and managed the Youth Crisis Center for over 25 years in Natrona County. Darin Kiester, Jill’s husband of 32 years, is a retired Casper Police Officer. He was instrumental in creating the Natrona County Drug Court and is currently serving the county as the Chief Deputy to the Coroner.
Jill took on her current role as Clerk of District Court, when in March of 2021, there was a special nomination and appointment process held due to the unfortunate passing of Clerk Anne Volin. Jill was appointed by the Natrona County Commissioners to fill the vacancy and considers it a tremendous honor to serve the court and wonderful community of Natrona County in this capacity.
